About

We designed this apartment to fulfill complementary needs. If you want to jump into the hippest neighborhood in the city, you just need to step outside this classic Profirian building to find yourself in the heart of Roma, where every street is peppered with restaurants, cafés, galleries and shops. And for those moments where you want a retreat from all that bustle, the apartment offers the utmost comfort for rest, relaxation, or, should you so desire, a perfect spot to work from home.

Good to know

Our guests have exclusive access to not one but two leafy terraces, a full kitchen, a living room with a large 49 inch smart TV where they can stream Netflix or Disney + from the comfort of a classic Eames Lounge Ottoman, and a second level with two rooms: one meant for sleeping on a plushy Queen size bed and the other one meant for work. The last few years of social distancing have impressed on all of us the importance of having a dedicated space for work in every home, and this apartment has a study flanked on one side by a wall-to-wall bookcase and on the other a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the ivy growing out of the lower level’s private terrace. Between them you’ll find a desk and a Herman Miller Aeron chair for those moments when you need to do some deep work or jump on a Zoom call. The whole apartment is equipped with high speed internet on a wifi mesh system so you’ll get excellent coverage no matter what room you’re in, and includes a full kitchen and a private laundry room.

Other Details to Note

The apartment is set up on two levels and the bedroom and study require going up a staircase.

House Rules

SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment, but one of the terraces (the one with the Acapulco chairs) has been set up for this specific purpose should you want to have a smoke. One thing to be mindful of: for security reasons the sliding door to both terraces opens only from the inside. Should you step outside for any reason please do not close it behind you. HOSTING GUESTS OF YOUR OWN: Airbnb has banned parties for apartment and condo listings, with penalties for both hosts and guests. We strive to comply as best we can with the platform’s rules and regulations, and we believe that in this particular instance these changes also align with safety and noise concerns from our immediate neighbors. As such, we kindly ask you not to host guests of your own beyond those listed in your initial reservation and to be mindful of creating noise after 11PM. Bringing total occupancy above two people without written agreement from your host will imply a 100 USD surcharge per guest per night independently of whether they sleep over, and may be grounds for immediate termination of your stay without any refund on the remaining nights of your reservation if we receive complaints from our neighbors. PETS: Pets are not allowed inside the apartment. CHILDREN: The apartment is not baby proofed and both the staircase and terrace pose significant risks for children. As such it is meant for adults only. KEEP PLUGGED IN WIFI DECO DEVICES: this apartment and the one above it run on the same wifi mesh system. Please do not unplug or disable any of the wifi deco boosters, or the main modem on the living room’s bookcase. CLOSED SLIDING DOORS: please keep sliding doors closed if you’re not in the apartment or if it’s raining. Rainfall can cause significant damages to the wood flooring if left unattended.

Neighborhood

The Roma neighborhood is one the city's best locations. It's one of the city's oldest neighborghoods, featuring old parisian-style townhouses built during the rule of Porfirio Diaz in the early 1900s, and in recent years it has become one of the trendy neighborhoods as young people have moved back in. There's plenty of delicious restaurants for every palate as well as funky bars, hip stores and cool art galleries. Street life around here is lively, so Roma is one best parts of the city to just spend some time walking around, and Condesa and Juárez neighborhoods are also a stone's throw away from the apartment in case you want to visit them.

Perfect location in Roma Norte! My husband and I stayed here for one week at the end of November and we couldn’t ask for a better spot. Super walkable to just about anywhere. The apartment was roomy for 2 people with a half bath, living area and kitchen on the first floor and a study, full bath and bedroom on the second floor. We were nervous about not having any central A/C but the temperature in the room was perfect and we used the space heater in the morning. It had everything we needed and more, even a workout mat for my morning yoga!! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone!!!

Andres's condo was perfect for our stay in Roma Norte! Very walkable and it felt extra safe with the doormen, who were friendly and available 24/7 for easy access back into the building—they usually recognized us approaching and unlocked the door prior to us using the buzzer. We could hear noises from other units, including some occasional loud music at night, but things always quieted by the time we were ready for bed and didn't find it to be a problem at all (speaking of the bed—SO comfortable). We appreciated the built-in water filter in the kitchen for drinking water and teeth brushing, and the shower was hot and had great water pressure. Andres was communicative throughout the stay with quick responses to our messages, and he had a great guide available with things to do in the area that we were sent in advance. We hope to be back someday!

Stayed for a few night with remote working during the day. I had some issues with wifi being around 90 Mbps during my stay instead of 215 Mbps in listing description. Aside from that, everything was great. Andres was a great host, super fast with communication, even accommodated for a very early check in. I tried a lot of the restaurants recommended by Andres in the welcome guide, and they were all great. The location cannot get any better, walkable to so many restaurants/bakery/grocery shops in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. I would definitely book again.
